Nicolas Party

Nicolas Party, often nicknamed ‘the new Henri Matisse’ or ‘Rene Magritte of the 21st century’, is a Swiss- born artists who works on landscapes, still-lives, and portraits. Based on a steady research on traditional painting, Party continues to develop new works with a unique personal twist.

Nicolas Party takes on a comprehensive approach to art through referencing old masters such as Henri Rousseau, Rene Magritte, Ferdinand Hodler. Party takes interest in creating symbols or codes for reality rather than ‘reality’.

In addition to painting, Party has worked on other forms such as installations, mural, pieta dura, ceramics, and sculpture. Furthermore, Party has directed and supervised all aspects in the creation of Café Party, a café within a sculpture park (Jupiter Artland). Party was also recently involved in the planning of an exhibition.
